Frequently asked questions
Everything about adding an animated, protected watermark logo to your videos with LogoShield Studio.
General
Is it really free, with no paid API key?
Yes. The video engine is FFmpeg, compiled to WebAssembly, running entirely inside your browser tab. There is no metered API, no per-render fee, and no account required.
Does my video get uploaded to a server?
No. The video and logo files are read directly from your device into browser memory and processed there. Nothing is transmitted to LogoShield's servers during editing or rendering.
What video formats can I use?
The renderer accepts any container or codec the underlying FFmpeg build supports, which covers essentially every common format (MP4, MOV, MKV, WebM, AVI and more). Live in-page preview depends on what your browser itself can decode; if a format won't preview, you can enter its dimensions manually and rendering will still work.
Is there a length limit?
There's no artificial cap built into the tool. In practice the ceiling is your device's available RAM and CPU, since everything is processed locally rather than on a metered cloud service — very long or very high-resolution files simply take longer and use more memory.
Watermark protection
Can AI-based logo removal tools strip this watermark?
Be wary of any tool that claims a watermark is completely unremovable — none genuinely are, given enough manual effort. What LogoShield Studio focuses on is raising the practical cost of removal. The Diagonal Shield variant places many semi-transparent copies of your logo across the entire frame, in a shifting diagonal pattern, rather than a single mark in one corner. Automated inpainting tools are tuned to patch a small, isolated region cleanly; reconstructing the full frame at many overlapping points is far more likely to leave visible artifacts, so removal without damaging the footage becomes impractical rather than a one-click job.
Which variant gives the strongest protection?
Diagonal Shield (full-frame tiling) is the most resistant to removal because there is no single clean patch to reconstruct. Animated variants (pulse, rotate, fade) add a secondary layer of difficulty because the mark's position or opacity changes frame to frame. A single static corner logo is the easiest of the six to remove and is best thought of as a branding mark rather than a protective one.
Will the watermark hurt the look of my video?
You control size, opacity and color tint, so you can keep it subtle. Full-frame shield mode trades some subtlety for stronger protection — lowering per-tile opacity keeps it unobtrusive while still covering the frame.
Rendering & performance
Why is rendering so fast?
The export uses an ultrafast encoding preset and copies the original audio track without re-encoding it, and — in browsers that support cross-origin isolation — a multi-threaded build of FFmpeg. Speed still scales with your device's CPU, since there is no paid cloud render farm behind it.
The render failed or froze — what should I try?
Use an up-to-date Chromium-based browser (Chrome or Edge) for the fastest, multi-threaded engine. For very large files, closing other tabs frees up memory. Extremely long 4K sources can exceed what a browser tab can hold in memory — trimming or downscaling first can help.
